§ 5-9. By-bidding, cappers, boosters, etc.

No person at any auction sale shall act falsely as a bidder or what is commonly known as a capper, booster, by-bidder or puffer, for the purpose of deceiving the persons attending such auction sale; nor shall any person conducting such auction sale knowingly receive or permit to be made any false or boosting bids by any person.
