§ 6. Fees for building inspection and related matters.

The city council may fix its own fees, notwithstanding any state law for fixing such fees generally, for the inspection of:
(1)

The construction, alteration, repair, removal and demolition of buildings;

(2)

All plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning work done in the city; and

(3)

The erection, installation, repair, maintenance and operation of smokestacks and smoke-producing apparatus of any kind whatsoever.
